Quality Control

Quality Control

Fo Shan Sky Glass Co., Ltd. applies quality control throughout the production of glass processing machinery, covering incoming materials and components, machining, mechanical and electrical assembly, commissioning, and final pre-shipment testing. Every completed machine undergoes an 8–24-hour continuous running and stability test before shipment.

5-Stage Quality Inspection Workflow

01/

Incoming Material & Component Inspection
Every raw material batch and purchased component is inspected before release to the workshop floor:

  • Steel plate thickness, structural beam dimensions, and structural material condition.
  • Hardness, straightness, and dimensional tolerances of drive shafts and linear motion components.
  • Verification of model numbers, ratings, and electrical parameters for motors, sensors, and PLC units.
02/

Machining & Dimensional Tolerance Inspection
Critical mechanical components and machine bases are checked during fabrication against production drawings:

  • Plano milling flatness checks on main structural machine beds to maintain long-term geometry.
  • Alignment and concentricity verification of bearing seats, spindle mounting bores, and drive interfaces.
  • Precision dimensional checks on CNC-machined and precision-cut components against production drawings.
03/

Mechanical & Electrical Assembly Inspection
Sub-assemblies undergo verification before power-on commissioning:

  • Parallelism and straightness alignment of linear guide rails and ball screws using dial indicators.
  • Fastener torque verification and mechanical drive tensioning.
  • Control cabinet wiring inspection, terminal numbering, phase sequencing, grounding continuity, and safety circuit verification.
04/

8–24 Hour Continuous Machine Running Test
Fully assembled machines are subjected to an 8- to 24-hour continuous running trial under operating speeds to check stability:

  • Thermal Monitoring: Bearing block temperatures and drive motor heat dissipation under continuous load.
  • Mechanical Stability: Spindle runout, dynamic vibration assessment, and drive noise checks.
  • Fluid & Air Sealing: Sealing integrity checks on water circulation pumps, spray nozzles, and pneumatic lines.
  • Safety Systems: Sensor response timing, PLC safety interlocks, and physical emergency stop function verification.
05/

Final Pre-Shipment Check & Export Packing
Final verification ensures the equipment matches purchase order specifications and destination shipping standards:

  • Machine surface finish, paint coverage, and protective sheet metal covers.
  • Complete inventory check of ordered machine accessories, spare parts, and tooling.
  • Seaworthy packaging inspection, including moisture-proof wrapping and steel-reinforced wooden crate securing.

Equipment Traceability & Third-Party Inspection

Serial Number Traceability

Each machine is assigned a permanent factory serial number. Inspection records, incoming component certificates, electrical diagrams, and pre-shipment test logs are permanently archived in our database. This guarantees fast component identification and accurate matching for future spare parts or maintenance requests.

Third-Party Inspection Coordination

For projects requiring independent quality verification, we coordinate on-site pre-shipment inspections (PSI) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). We accommodate third-party inspection agencies including SGS, TÜV, and Bureau Veritas (BV) based on project scope.
